Special project
My town, Waterloo
As seen by children aged 5 to 8
This special project took the form of a collective exhibition created by children aged 5 to 8 who participated in workshops offered by Les Ateliers créatifs W. Through a collaborative artwork, the young artists were invited to represent their city, Waterloo, as they perceive it — with their own words, colours, and imagination.
Under the theme My town, Waterloo, the project encouraged children to explore their surroundings, reflect on what shapes their daily lives, and express their view of their environment through a collective artistic creation. The process emphasized personal expression, collaboration, and the joy of creating.
The exhibition was presented at the Waterloo Public Library from May 20 to June 10. It offered the public an opportunity to discover a sensitive and luminous artwork, revealing Waterloo through the authentic and spontaneous eyes of its youngest citizens.
